Senior Project Manager (Qualitative Focus)

This real-time access to consumers is coupled with its state-of-the-art, market research survey and analytics platform.  Toluna is building a unique and trusted vendor-client partnership with one of the largest non-profit associations in the US.  This partnership focuses on the building and managing of two Community-Panels that will support a large portion of our client’s primary research over many years. Toluna is looking to strengthen this relationship by adding an exceptional client service professional.

Major Purpose of the Position: 

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for securing and executing the logistical components of qualitative and online and phone quantitative research projects.  The position maintains authority over all operational aspects of the research project, obtaining production requirements from clients and internal team members and identifying solutions which address project requirements.

Success in this role is predicated on strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. Individuals must be able to process specific instructions and take independent action to achieve the underlying objective. The Senior Project Manager services projects across a broad range of topics, proactively identifying and implementing alternative courses of action as necessary to complete projects on time, within budget while maintaining strict quality and customer satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Panel Project Lead on or lead kickoff calls with the client to confirm the project specifications and timing and setting client expectations for project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors; schedules including programming, sampling, data collection, data processing and quality assurance.
  • Test online questionnaire survey links and databases for accuracy prior to going to the field; and listen in to phone pre-tests.
  • For quantitative phone survey, brief telephone interviewers prior to study launch on purpose of study, nuances to be aware of, expectations of study outcomes.
  • For qualitative activities, support the moderator with the set up and testing of activities including the recruit surveys, email communication, moderator guide including the activity, training of the client on partner software, daily activity updates and any deliverables. Support the moderation of activities as necessary.
  • Continually monitor project progress, troubleshooting issues and identifying and implementing realistic and cost effect solutions.
  • Maintain project files, including complete documentation and audit trail.
  • Maintain strong relationship with the Panel Project Lead or client during the entire project process, reporting regularly to the client on their deliverables in to foster outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and have a working knowledge of multiple qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and Toluna product-lines.


Experience & Required Skills

  • 5 plus years of demonstrated quantitative or qualitative marketing research and project management experience in both online/phone studies and qualitative activities.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Moderating experience is an asset.
  • Must be detail oriented, flexible and resourceful.
  • Must adhere to the highest level of customer satisfaction standards in the industry.
  • Must to able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • A degree in marketing research or equivalent technical knowledge preferred.
