Sales Development Representative

Major Purpose of the Position

Our consumer insights & technology firm needs an experienced Sales Development Representative to join a dynamic, fast-growing team.  The position requires an ability to conduct outgoing calls and emails to lapsed and net-new accounts (Marketing Research Firms and Ad/PR Agencies).  The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for every aspect of the sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, capabilities presentations, and of course closing! We have a CRM with thousands of existing accounts & contacts to manage a daily level of outbound prospecting & call activity. This position has monthly quotas and a monthly commission opportunity with strategic bonuses related to specific product lines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, present products/services, and close business opportunities through a solution-sales approach
  • Self-sufficient in maintaining daily levels of different sales-cycle activities including
    • Cold calling/emailing
    • Presenting capabilities via screen-share
    • Following up on previously sent proposals
  • Target assigned accounts from the CRM database, both active and inactive, to increase and/or re-activate bid/buy activity
  • Through hunting and closing new opportunities, the Inside Sales Representative’s long-term goal is to grow a portfolio of accounts ranging from small/medium sized MR firms to Ad/PR Agencies

Qualifications and Skills

  • Effective communications skills - oral, written and presentation
  • Have a proven track record in “Telephone Based Sales”, relationship building and account management
  • Strong inside sales skills with experience in a solution-selling approach
  • Demonstrated strong analytical/problem solving, organization skills
  • Exhibits resourcefulness, flexibility, creativity, and willingness to learn
  • 3+ years’ inside sales experience (outbound calling preferred)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Experience in the Market Research industry a plus
